If Louis Pasteur was still around these day we would all have to shake his hand for saving at least most of us as well as many of our family and friends. Because of his inventions and biological discoveries we are all able to live longer and healthier lives by using his inventive skill to his advantage and for ours. Louis Pasteur was a world class chemist of his time as well as microbiologist. His work and the work that lead others to discovery should and has been rewarded through the French Louis Pasteur Institute of chemistry and research. Louis was born in the town of Dole in France in 1822 and lived to be 73 years old which is very good for those times where the average age was much less until after the discoveries of Louis Pasteur.
After being born in Dole in France Louis was moved to the town of Arbois where he started schooling as a poor farm boy of a tanner. His degree was in mathematics which was only a small part of biology and chemistry. Because of his ability as a student he was sent to an elite college where he acquired the rest of his skills so that he could find the discoveries that made him so famous. Out of the five children that Louis Pasteur was able to have with his wife only two of them grew to be adults and the others dies from problems that could not be treated in those days. Typhoid was one of the diseases that killed two of his children which are why he took to chemistry for a way of fighting the typhoid disease which he eventually did. This discovery made it possible for millions of others to survive this disease which was one o the reasons Louis was awarded a prize for his discovery.
Louis also worked on the polarization of light through other objects like crystals and gems. He discovered that acidic problems in foods and wine could be dealt with through different spectrums of light. Also working with micro organisms like broth and the bacteria that goes into certain foods like wines and cheese Louis Pasture was able to create a germ theory where he announced that all germs where either good or bad for the body while the body itself needed germs to counteract and act with outside germs for everyday living. The most that we have taken from the work of Louis Pasteur is his vacations and immunizations which were the elivation to many horrible diseases that were out of control in the time he was alive.
